Christian Jones (DI) Football, San Diego State, ‘25
Coach Devaney is a great leader with extensive experience in athletics and mentoring high-level athletes. As a current Division 1 football player at San Diego State, I’ve experienced first hand what it takes to reach the next level. Coach Devaney fostered an environment that pushed me to continue my growth and reject complacency on and off the field. She knows what it takes and will match and exceed every effort you put into your athletic journey.

Nicole Immoos (DIII) Soccer, University of Redlands, ‘27
During my recruitment process Coach Kathy D. supported me not only through her words of counsel, but also through her actions. She consistently pushed me to be not just a better athlete but also a better person. I valued our time together and I feel she played an instrumental role pushing me to be my best and most successful version of myself.

Harrison Takken (DI) Track, UCSD, ‘28
I went to Coach KathyD often during my recruit process for guidance. She listened willingly, and enthusiastically gave me valuable advice and support. I’m grateful to have known her.

Coach Kathy Devaney, who I affectionately know as "Momma D", welcomed me—an unremarkable kid—and guided me toward becoming remarkable. With her personal approach to understanding each athlete's personality, strengths, and goals, she inspires them to push beyond their limits and reach their full potential. For me, she built a foundation of passion, drive, and love for the sport that propelled me through a successful Division I athletic career. I truly wouldn't have had the journey I did without her early support and guidance.

Andrea Reynolds (DI) Softball, UC Davis, ‘17
Coach Devaney is providing something that is invaluable. There is no one better to help you make one of the biggest decisions of your life. Coach Devaney will always have you, your family and your future’s best interest. Weighing out education, long term goals, and level of competition is not something a teenager should be doing alone. Coach Devaney is the best way to invest in your future.

Coach Devaney was instrumental in helping me become a first-generation college student athlete. Her understanding of my situation provided the support I needed to navigate the challenges of talking with college coaches. As an experienced athlete and coach, she also used a holistic approach to not only improve my athletic skills but also to foster my personal growth. Her ability to nurture talent and develop well-rounded athletes is amazing, and I am deeply grateful for her guidance.
